Before & After Instructions FAQ

Before Cleaning

Please read the following before our cleaning, as it will help us serve you better and achieve superior cleaning results:

  1. The best cleaning is achieved with a truck mounted unit. It allows for deeper, healthier cleaning that dries faster. However, we’ll need a guaranteed parking space in front of your home or business. On a flat, not steep space.
  2. Please note stains and areas of concern in your carpet and point them out to us. We’ll make sure they will not be missed. Any knowledge of what caused the stains will increase the chance of removing them. (Unfortunately some stains are permanent!)
  3. Though we will thoroughly vacuum your carpet before our cleaning, we highly recommend that you vacuum it as well before our visit. Trust us- It will allow you to thoroughly inspect your carpet before our cleaning and point out areas of concern, as well as remove clothes or boxes off the carpet prior to our cleaning. And we’ll be able to dedicate our time to the important stuff!
  4. If you wish, you can move furniture out of the way ahead of time. Otherwise, we will not move large furniture but work around or under them (if raised above carpet.) If there are small sturdy furniture like a coffee table, a sofa or night stand that you want moved, please remove anything that is both on top and in them and we’ll do it. We will not move but work around anything connected to electricity, has a lamp or breakables on it and or looks fragile. To avoid potential accidents, it will be appreciated if you remove breakable, fragile things from the top of tables, counters, etc.
  5. If you have pets, for their peace of mind please arrange for them to be in a sheltered place, like a bathroom, backyard etc. during our cleaning. They will highly appreciate it. Please bear in mind that a slight opening in the front door will be necessary to allow the vacuum hose in, therefore the front door cannot be locked and your pet if not closed somewhere, may be able to get out. Please let us know immediately if there are pet urine stains, as normal cleaning will not solve it. However, there is something you can do prior to our visit that will greatly increase the chances of success and may save you money.
  6. Fragrance free cleaning is offered at no extra charge. If that is your preference please let us know before we start. It is also your responsibility to inform us in advance if you’re allergic to cleaning products.
  7. Please minimize traffic on the carpet before it is dry. If you or others have to walk on the carpet while we are cleaning and or before it is completely dry, please use the free shoe covers (booties) that we provided.
  8. Remember!!- Walking from a wet carpet to another floor can be slippery & dangerous. The client, if possible, agrees to avoid walking from recently cleaned areas onto other surfaces. The client assumes responsibility to inform and warn others who are or might be at his/her premises about the danger of slipping where the cleaning is done, during and/or after the cleaning, as well as prevent them from walking on the wet or slippery surfaces.
  9. If walking from a damp carpet area to a non- carpeted floor, please lay mat/rug that has a nonslip bottom and an absorbent top. It will reduce the chance of slippage and prevent carpet protector from adhering to your non carpeted floor.

After Cleaning

  1. Please minimize traffic on the carpet. Remember! Walking from a wet carpet to another floor can be slippery & dangerous. If walking from a damp carpet area to a non- carpeted floor, please lay mat/rug that has a nonslip bottom and an absorbent top. It will reduce the chance of slippage and prevent carpet protector from adhering to your non carpeted floor.
  3. For the health and safety of children and pets keep them off recently cleaned fabrics until completely dry.
  4. Do not return furniture or remove any pads or blocks placed under furniture until the fabric is completely dry, (Allow 48 hours minimum till the removal of pads and blocks.) Do not seat on furniture that are on top of blocks.
  5. Fabric protector may require additional drying time (up to 24 hours) and may feel slightly tacky while drying. Please allow 24 hours before heavy use. Make sure your feet or soles are completely dry before stepping onto a different floor to avoid leaving a permanent mark.
  6. Drying time varies widely due to density of fabric, humidity and degree of soiling. Ventilating premises if outside weather and safety allows, turning on fans or air conditioner, will greatly speed drying. Drying time may vary from as little as 2 hours under ideal conditions to as much as 24 hours in wet winter months.
  7. Velvets must not be touched and let dry in the position they were left. Fabric may have a stiff feel, this is removed by brushing in the nap direction. Vacuuming will complete the beautifying process. Cushions are usually stacked to dry “teepee” style. If you wish to make them dry faster, rotate bottom to top. Make sure that different colors are not touching each other and that metal surfaces are not touching the fabric.

Say hello clean - goodbye dirt!
